Andrea began ZUMBA in May of 2011, with aspirations to begin a healthy new lifestyle and positive outlook on life. Apprehensive initially, she found such a welcoming atmosphere and invigorating workout at SPRQ that in December 2011, she became a certified ZUMBA instructor! Becoming an instructor was a big accomplishment for her, and she hopes that she can help others to find the inspiration to step of their “comfort zones” and keep striving for self-improvement.
She is recently married to Rick & they live in Lewiston!
Mark was a pleasure to add to our line-up of Instructors at SPRQ Sabattus! We needed a competitive edge to the classes being offered, we wanted a kickbox but got MMA!
Mark has fought competitively in the RING & brings his own 'SPRQ' to our space in Sabattus with a rendition of MMA Boxing conditioning, drills, and the technique of boxing for total body conditioning unlike any other!
I started taking classes when I was in my early 30’s and soon was asked to instruct, haven’t stopped since! I’m older but young at heart!! I love teaching and making people feel good about themselves!
I started out at the Fitness Connection for a while, then went to adult ed programs in Auburn and New Gloucester. From there I went to the YMCA and taught for 10 years. I left there thinking I was going to take a break and just work out closer to home. Well, I started to sub at the gym I was working out at and when they came under new ownership, they asked me to teach. So, needless to say, here I am, still teaching. It has always been my passion for if I make people feel good, then I feel good. I believe class is for participants and not for the instructor.
